Jeff to Beantown?? NY??
Rumors keep putting Jeff farther and farther away. But it's all about landing a job, not about my being able to catch a game. Denver has been signing minor-league contracts w/ spring training invites like crazy, but not with Jeff.
This report puts him in talks with the Red Sox and/or the Mets....

Maya, I was going to ask you about what's going on with Jeff. He seems to have fallen off the radar after the Diamondbacks rumors. I kept hearing that he failed the physical due to a shoulder injury. Have you heard the same?
I heard that rumor in exactly one place... anonymous internet sources. I never heard it in any other context. It could be true, it could be hogwash. I vote for hogwash. I could pretend to be a real media person and try to call Jeff's agent for some response, but I'm more comfy in the cheap seats. Something *is* weird about the way the AZ deal went down. It was then looking like he'd go to Denver as a veteran 4th OF... but that has also petered out. I don't know what the sitch is. Most teams are focusing on their arbitration-eligiable folks right now, so Jeff still has time to land someplace. He plays like crap in Fenway, so I don't know what the BoSox are smoking. But it is good that people keep talking about him.
I just want to find out where he's going to land so I can buy a shirt and support my favorite player. My husband says that he's gonna go down to Angel Stadium and see if Jeff's jersey is on sale and buy it for me.
would be nice to see him back on the field again, i don't think anyone has given him the respect he rightfully deserved while on the angels.
